What’s your part in my movie?
What’s my part in yours?
Renegotiate
Take and give until take or leave
Better be a movie worth watching
Flowing roles as we tumble along, the river night rattles with chords
And gurgles and roars
Calling all the credit screens up, rolling, rolling
Where our names appear, they two splash
Together
Louder than the sum of parts
Those things we build together, we are,
our selves, bound in with our sweat,
our tears, our laughs, our toils, our triumphs
Woven into elegance, interfitting neatly
hand in hand.
The array becomes finer and finer until our endings and beginnings merge
Stones tumbling downstream
Across the night, reaching over deafening flow, we sound out
The Song of Our Self
We Proclaim I AM!
And slowly, AM becomes ARE as we sing our duets
Our chorus, our choir moves and grooves in the night
Starlight shudders, dancing vibrations
