Tipping Point fights poverty in the Bay Area by convening people and resources from all parts of our region and amplifying the most promising solutions to vexing, systemic inequities. I first worked to enhance Tipping Point’s web presence and tell the stories of our grantees and partners as “the digital guy” on the External Affairs team, then transitioned to the Chronic Homelessness Initiative to put my full energy behind their efforts.
CHI is a partnership between Tipping Point and the City of San Francisco to reduce the number of people experiencing chronic homelessness by 50% from 2017-2022. We center the expertise of people with lived experience and fund new ways to prevent homelessness and secure long-term homes with supportive services to ensure people get – and stay – housed. As the all-around comms lead for CHI, I worked with city agencies, non-profit service providers and front-line organizers and advocates to mobilize San Franciscans around evidence-based solutions to homelessness.
